    Hi,

I see the question concerns a new Outlook. I would like to let you know that the name is tied to your email Service Provider, and as a result, there is no functionality to change it.

Could you ask your email service provider for instructions on how to change the name?

If it is an outlook.com email address, I'll share the steps below, since the name syncs from your account

Yes, if this is a display name issue, it can usually be corrected.

    For classic Outlook for Windows:

    1. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
    2. Select the email account.
    3. Choose Change.
    4. In the Your name field, replace FNAME with Steve Kirin.
    5. Select Next, then Close.

    Important limits:

    • If the account type is Microsoft Exchange, the display name cannot be changed in Outlook. The Exchange administrator must change it.
    • In new Outlook for Windows, the option to edit the display name for email recipients is not yet available.

If the issue is only that recipients see part of the name, the steps above apply to classic Outlook. If the account is Exchange or the new Outlook for Windows, the change must be made outside that Outlook setting path.
