I received an email from ******@updates.microsoft.com saying Yep, you were selected for a free upgrade to Microsoft 365 Personal. What is that?

Is this the Email you received from Microsoft, if so, this is most likely a phishing scam, do not click the button in that Email, if you hover your mouse over the 'Complete setup on your PC' button, what is the URL address that redirects to.

Don't click anything in the email. Instead, go directly to account.microsoft.com by typing the address yourself, sign in, and check Services & subscriptions for a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription or promotion. Also inspect the email's actual links by hovering over them; they should lead to a legitimate Microsoft domain such as microsoft.com or account.microsoft.com, not a lookalike domain. The fact that the sender is ******@updates.microsoft.com is not, by itself, proof that the message is legitimate.

I can smell that stinker all the way here. It's all fake, of course. What they want you to do is to click on the blue "Complete setup on PC" box. Don't do that! But, for fun, rest your mouse pointer on that box and a little window will pop up which shows you the URL that you'll be sent to if you click. That ain't Microsoft. Phew!
