I cannot access a site

There is a site that is necessary for me to access each month.

www.mdes.ms.gov

I can get to the site, but when I click on an item, it gives me error 403,

access to accessmstax.mdes.ms.gov was denied.

I can access it at my home computer but not on the work computer.

Is there something a can change in settings to be able to access this site?

Since the site works on your home computer but gives a 403 error on the work computer, this may be related to the work network, browser settings, or a company security policy rather than the website itself.

To help narrow down the issue:

Does the same error happen if you open the site in an Edge InPrivate window?
Have you tried another browser on the work computer, such as Chrome?
Is the work computer managed by your employer or connected to a company VPN?

Also, if possible, try accessing the site while disconnected from the company VPN. A 403 error means the website is refusing access, so the result of those tests will help narrow down what is blocking it.

I tried to access this website with InPrivate window, Chrome, Firefox. I cannot access it, same error 403. My work computer is not managed by the employer or a VPN. It was easily accessed on my home computer. There's a setting somewhere I am missing that is stopping me from accessing it.

Thanks for testing that. Since Edge, Chrome, and Firefox all give the same 403 error, this does not appear to be a browser setting.

A 403 error means the website is receiving the request but refusing access.

Please try this test first:

Connect the work computer to a different network, such as your phone's mobile hotspot.

Then try https://accessmstax.mdes.ms.gov again.

If it works on the hotspot, the issue is likely related to the normal network or its public IP address.

If it still gives 403, please check "Settings" > "Network & internet" > "Proxy" and let me know if "Use a proxy server" is enabled.

Also, do you have any third-party antivirus or security software installed on the work computer?
