Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Hi Claudia,
Please try the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:
Check the camera selected in Teams
- Open Teams and go to Settings and more (…) > Settings > Devices.
- Under Video settings, verify that the correct camera is selected.
- Check whether you can see a camera preview.
Run a Teams test call
- Go to Settings > Devices and select Make a test call.
- This will help determine whether the issue is with Teams or the specific meeting.
Check Windows camera permissions
- To change permissions on your Windows device:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Select Privacy & security > Camera.

- Turn the Let apps access your camera toggle on.

- Under Let apps access your camera, turn the Microsoft Teams (work or school) toggle on
- If the toggle is already turned on, turn it off and back on again.
- Close all apps and restart your device.
Additionally, please close applications such as Zoom, Webex, Skype, or the Windows Camera app, as another application may be using the camera.
