Hello. August 01, 2026 at 10:32 pm I am a college student who inquired about the same question. It seems that the problem was temporarily solved when I tried to run it with the method you introduced, but the same problem kept repeating the next day and the next day, and even if I tried it again with the method you instructed, the problem was not solved, so I would like to contact you again. However, there was a time when copy-pasting seemed to work well after rebooting, but the same problem was repeated when I additionally selected "Collect without showing office clipboard" from the options provided in step 1. I don't know exactly what is causing the problem to repeat, so I would appreciate it if you could let me know the problem. When copy-pasting is not working, it seems that there is a problem with the copying process itself, seeing that there is no copied content on the clipboard even if you copy a cell.

    Dear @Claire Ava,

To ensure I understand your request correctly and to support you as effectively as possible, I need more specific information from you:

    • What steps have you tried to assist the issue?

In the meantime, kindly try these steps:

1> Run Excel in Safe Mode

    Close all Excel windows.

    Press Windows key + R > run: excel /safe

Open a blank workbook and test copying several times.

If copying works in Safe Mode:

    Open Excel normally.

    Go to File > Options > Add-ins.

At the bottom, select COM Add-ins, then Go.

Record the enabled items, then clear all checkboxes.

    Restart Excel and test.

Re-enable the add-ins individually until the issue returns.

Repeat with Excel Add-ins in the Manage list. Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC | Microsoft Support

    2> Repair Office apps

In the Start Menu, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft 365 or Office > three dots > Modify.

    Run Quick Repair first.

If the issue returns, run Online Repair. Repair an Office application | Microsoft Support

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
