Change default browser or disable Edge on managed iOS devices

Hi,

We have enrolled our iOS devices with Microsoft Intune. When opening Office 365 links or that we want to use single-sign on on other approved company apps, it can not be opened in Safari since Edge is the "approved" browser.

Links that are opened from Teams or Outlook usually solves it by selecting Edge as default browser, but many users prefer to use Safari as default.

However, when setting Edge as default browser it doesnt help with using single-sign on other company apps (HR app and a CRM app). Those apps will use the native browser when authenticating the user login and its not possible to use Edge instead.

So, how to disable Edge as default browser on enrolled MDM-devices? Or change it to say Safari for iOS-users and Chrome for android.

@Patrick Pedersen Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

Based on my research about intune's app feature, currently, there is no such feature to make safari or Chrome default browser in intune managed iOS or Android devices via intune.

From your description, I know that Edge opens Links that from Teams or Outlook. Please check if we add Teams and Outlook in the app configuration policy and set "com.microsoft.intune.useEdge true" in the same app configuration policy.

If there is anything update, feel free to let us know.
