unable to activate Microsoft excel error

error-An unknown error has occurred. The error code is 0x0.

my Mac is os 12.7.6 and when I am trying to activate ms excel 2019 it is asking for Mac OS 14 or later.which is not compatible with my Mac hence requesting for a version which is compatible with my Mac hopeing for a possible and quick response

    If your version of Office is 2019, then the error you are seeing is caused by an update on the 13th of July, many people are seeing the exact same error, after that update, it is no longer possible to update the certificates on that version of Office, your Office apps will go into Read Only mode, on the link below they provide full details on that update, and after that update, the old workaround of installing a previous version of Office no longer works.
