Needing help over, I'm trying to login in another email account in Microsoft for Microsoft Teams(online class), but suddenly Account login and recovery was blocked. I don't know why or what did I do for this to happen

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

In addition to what the AI mentioned, I just want to confirm, did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account?

If yes, are you able to access the second factor of authentication? Do you have access to the security information/verification methods, email, or phone number linked to the account?

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

Also, may I know when was the last time you successfully signed in to your account?

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

That message means Microsoft detected unusual activity and temporarily blocked sign-in or recovery to protect the account. This can happen when signing in from a new device or location, after repeated recovery or verification attempts, or other activity that looks unusual.

    Try this in order:

    1. Use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper and enter the email address or phone number for the blocked account. It checks the account and gives the next supported recovery steps.
    2. On the sign-in screen, if prompted, choose a connected verification method and enter the security code.
    3. If the account is blocked on one verification method, try a different method already connected to the account, such as an alternate email instead of SMS.
    4. Try signing in from a trusted device or a usual location/network where that account was used before.
    5. Avoid repeated attempts. Too many sign-in, recovery, or verification requests can extend the block.
    6. Wait and try again later. A temporary block may clear after 24 hours, and in some cases it can take longer, up to 1 week.

If this is an Outlook.com / personal Microsoft account, the unblock flow is handled through the Outlook.com account unblock page and the Sign-in Helper.

If this is a work or school account used for Teams online classes, password and sign-in recovery is handled by the organization. In that case, contact the school IT admin or use the work or school password reset page.
