I just purchased Pro, I have Windows 11, I received a key, how do I enter it to upgrade to Pro?

Did you purchase Windows 11 Pro from the Microsoft Store?

If yes, the license is usually tied to the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Sign in to that Microsoft account on your computer and make sure you have a stable internet connection to activate the license.

If you received a product key, go to Settings > System > Activation > Change product key, then enter your 25-character product key to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

If Windows 11 Home is already activated, the upgrade can be started from Settings:

1. Open Start > Settings > System > Activation.
2. Next to Change product key, select Change.
3. If User Account Control appears, enter an administrator account name and password, then select Yes.
4. Enter the 25-character Windows 11 Pro product key.
5. Select Next to start the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

If Change product key is not the right path, the other supported option is:

1. Go to Start > Settings > System > Activation.
2. Expand Upgrade your edition of Windows.
3. Select Open Store next to Upgrade in the Microsoft app.
4. Follow the prompts to complete the upgrade and restart the device.

After purchase through Microsoft Store, Windows 11 Pro is typically activated with a digital license linked to the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
