This is my personal acct. Close Jefferson school acct.

Typically, your school account is managed by your school’s IT administrator. If you’d like to close the account, you’ll need to contact your school IT admin and ask them to deactivate and close it for you.

Before doing so, please make sure to move or back up any data you may need.

If the Jefferson school account is only connected to the Windows device, remove it from the device:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Accounts > Access work or school.
3. Select the Jefferson school account.
4. Select Disconnect.
5. Select Yes to confirm.

This removes the work or school account from the device, but it does not delete the account itself.

If the Jefferson account is in an unmanaged Microsoft Entra organization, the account can be closed by signing in to My data requests and selecting Close account. Closing the account is irreversible and removes all personal data.

If the account belongs to a managed organization, it cannot be closed directly by the user. The organization administrator must handle that.
