Microsoft Store app error

Trying to install Sticky Notes app.

Unable to open Microsoft Store app for installation

I then go to https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nblggh4qghw?launch=true&mode=full&hl=en-US&gl=US&ocid=bingwebsearch to download app. When I select download link, Microsoft Store app attempts to open for installation but. after some time, app returns error message.

I'm restarting PC and will run sfc /scannow next. Hold on please.

Sure. Let me know how it goes. After running SFC, the Windows Search service should be fixed as well.

The Sticky Notes page says "Signing in". Were you able to complete the sign-in? If so, we can solely focus on the next issue, which is Microsoft Store.

What's the exact error message when you try to install Sticky Notes?

Please open PowerShell and run the following command to check if the Sticky Notes package is staged.

Also, I'd like to know if Windows Update works correctly on your computer. Microsoft Store uses Windows Update and BITS to download app updates. Please run winver.exe and note the OS build number and post the info here.

Sticky Notes app package is staged. Please open PowerShell admin and run these commands to install the app for your user account:

wsreset get-appxpackage -allusers Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} get-appxpackage -allusers Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes

Post the output here.

No. App is installed but not signing into my MS acct. and Store still not starting.

Please open services.msc

Double-click Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant

Set its startup type to Manual, and click Apply.

Click Start to start the service.

Does it run correctly?

Thanks for the screenshot.

That error is the root cause of both issues.

Error 193 means a system DLL is corrupt.

From Command Prompt (admin), run the following command:

sfc /scannow

Once done, copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log to your desktop. Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

3-4 files in the component store are corrupt.

Please run:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done, upload the latest CBS.log.

I mean, please cancel the existing DISM process using Ctrl + C. then run the Scanhealth command I mentioned.
