Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Microsoft 365 can be both, depending on which version is being used:
- Free: Microsoft 365 web apps are available at no cost with a Microsoft account. This includes the web versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus 5 GB of OneDrive storage.
- Paid subscription: Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Premium are paid plans, typically billed monthly or annually. These include additional benefits such as desktop apps for PC and Mac, 1 TB of cloud storage, ongoing feature updates, and support.
- Basic plan: Microsoft 365 Basic is also a paid plan and includes 100 GB of cloud storage, but not the full desktop Office apps.
So, Microsoft 365 is not only a free platform and not only an annual subscription. There is a free web version, and there are also paid subscription plans.
