Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Accidently removed
Hello,
I accidentally removed one of the aliases from my Microsoft account today.
The alias I accidentally deleted was:
******@msn.com
The Microsoft account is still under my control, and the other alias currently associated with the account is:
******@outlook.com
I am the original owner of the deleted MSN email address. It was previously associated with my Microsoft account, and I accidentally removed it while managing my aliases.
When I try to add ******@msn.com back to my account, I receive this error:
“This email address is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address.”
I understand that Microsoft normally does not allow deleted Outlook/Hotmail/MSN aliases to be reclaimed. However, this was my own alias and it was accidentally removed from my existing account. I am not trying to claim an address belonging to another user.
Could you please check the backend status of ******@msn.com and determine whether it is still reserved/blocked because it was recently removed from my account?
If possible, I would like the deleted alias to be restored to my existing Microsoft account:
******@outlook.com
I am willing to provide any information necessary to verify that I am the legitimate owner of the Microsoft account and that ******@msn.com was previously associated with it.
If the first-level support team cannot restore it, please escalate this case to the appropriate Microsoft Account/Outlook engineering team for a backend review.
This email address is very important to me, and I would greatly appreciate any possible recovery option.
Thank you.
