Hello. I pay monthly for my office account. I have 2 laptops. One in my office and another smaller one that I use when I travel.

When i try to use microsoft words in my trvael laptop. and i sign in with my credentials, it tells me that is registering the computer. Takes forever and then i receive a Error code: -895156191

I have been trying to contact with a person or somebody to respond to me and it is impossible. Horrible customer service. Only response that I get everywhere I go or call is to go back online to solve it by myself.

So frustrating.

Can somebody help me please?

Looking at this from a different angle, are you using the same Office subscription in both the laptop and the desktop?

Are there any differences between the two devices? For example, do they use the same operating system?

    Hi Sandra Narvaez

I’m sorry this has been so frustrating. The error occurs while Office is signing in or activating on the travel laptop, but the code does not confirm one specific cause.

Please try these steps on that laptop:

    1. Close all Office applications.
    2. Sign in to your Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page and confirm that the Microsoft 365 subscription is active and associated with the same email address being entered in Word.
    3. Open Word and select File > Account. Sign out of every account shown, close Word, reopen it, and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to the subscription.
    4. Under File > Account > Update Options, select Update Now.
    5. Run the Microsoft 365 activation troubleshooter on the affected laptop and follow the instructions in the Get Help app. Microsoft recommends running it on the same Windows PC where Office is installed.
    6. If the issue continues, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft 365 > Modify, and select Online Repair.

Also check Control Panel > Programs and Features to make sure the laptop does not have multiple Office versions installed, since a preinstalled copy can conflict with the subscription installation

If the problem remains, use Contact Microsoft Support while signed in with the subscription account. Because this is a public user-to-user forum, no one here can access the account or manually register the laptop.

Thank you for your time. Please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance
