    1

    Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office, is your subscription then recognized correctly.

    2

If that does not resolve the problem.

In Word, go to File - Account.

Click the 'Switch Licence' button, are you able to use that option to find your Office licence?

If not, log into your Microsoft account on this link, is your Office licence listed correctly there, or if that is a subscription, check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

    Hi Pax,

If Excel is asking you to reactivate even though you have a valid Microsoft 365 license, the Office activation may be linked to the wrong account or the existing activation credentials may need to be refreshed.

    Please try these steps:

Open Excel and go to File → Account.

Check which Microsoft account is shown under User Information and Product Information.

Make sure you are signed in with the account that actually owns the Microsoft 365 license.

Sign out of Office, close all Office applications, reopen Excel, and sign in again.

Check File → Account → Update Options → Update Now to make sure Office is fully updated.

If it still asks for activation, use Microsoft's Microsoft 365 activation troubleshooter to check and repair the activation.

If the problem continues, please provide the exact activation error/message shown in Excel (without sharing any personal or license information). That will help determine whether this is an account, subscription, or Office installation issue.
