Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams categories
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out,
Unfortunately, bank transfer is not supported as a payment method for Microsoft Teams/Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Payments must be made using a supported credit or debit card.
To help troubleshoot the issue, please verify the following:
- Verify that the card is issued in the same country/region as your Microsoft 365 tenant
- Microsoft requires the payment method to be associated with the same country or region where the Microsoft 365 tenant was created.
- For example, if your tenant is registered in the United States, the billing address and issuing bank of the card should also be in the United States.
- You can check the tenant's country/region in the Microsoft 365 admin center under Settings > Org settings > Organization Profile > Data location, and confirm the card's issuing country with your bank if necessary.
- Ensure the card has sufficient available funds and is enabled for online/international transactions
- Even when purchasing a subscription or updating a payment method, Microsoft may perform an authorization check on the card.
- Please ensure there are adequate funds or available credit, and verify with your bank that the card is active, not expired, and authorized for online and international transactions. Some banks may automatically decline transactions that appear unusual or originate from overseas merchants.
- Clear your browser's cache
- Launch the browser, and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the Clear browsing data utility.
- Now, select All time from the Time range dropdown menu, tick the checkboxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click on Clear data towards the bottom.
- Open an Incognito/InPrivate browsing window and try again
- Open your browser.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac).
- A new Incognito window will open, and attempt to update the payment method again.
- Try using a different supported browser
If the issue persists after clearing browser's cache and using Incognito window, please try using another supported browser such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox to determine whether the issue is browser-specific.
To better understand the issue, please provide a screenshot of the error message you receive when attempting to update the payment method. Before sharing the screenshot, please ensure that any sensitive information such as card numbers, billing details, or personal information is blurred or removed. I hope this information is helpful. Please follow the steps above and let me know if it works for you.
