Microsoft project management software used to plan, manage, and communicate a project schedule and other information among workgroup members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Hello @Powell, Stephen,
As of today, Microsoft has not publicly announced a successor to Project 2024 or provided a release date for a future perpetual version. When Project 2024 reaches end of support on October 10, 2029, customers can generally continue using the product, but Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, technical support, or online content updates for that version.
Historically, Microsoft does not typically announce the next perpetual Office/Project release several years in advance, so any information about a "Project 2027" or similar product would be speculative unless Microsoft publishes an official roadmap.
It is also worth noting that Microsoft's recent project management investments have been focused on Planner, Project for the web capabilities, AI-powered project management features, and Microsoft 365 integration, rather than announcing a new standalone Project release.

At that point, organizations typically have these options:
- Upgrade to a newer version of Microsoft Project if one has been released.
- Migrate to Microsoft's cloud-based work management offerings, such as Planner and other Microsoft 365 project management solutions.
- Continue using Project 2024 at their own risk, understanding that unsupported software may be more vulnerable to security and compatibility issues over time.
Since support remains in place until 2029, Microsoft still has several years to announce future Project products or migration paths. At this time, however, no successor to Project 2024 has been publicly announced.
