Are you using a Mac or Windows device?

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase or redeem Office.

Select the license > Install > follow the prompts. After installation, open Word and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate Office.

After a laptop reset, Office usually must be reinstalled.

Try these steps:

1. Check the desktop for a ReadMe file created after Windows Recovery. It can contain the exact Office reinstall steps for that device.
2. If Office was preinstalled and activated without a product key or Microsoft account, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store:
   1. Select Start and open Microsoft Store.
   2. Select Library > Apps tab. If All is shown instead, select All.
   3. Turn off Show installed products only under Sort and filter.
   4. Find the Office product and select the Cloud button.
   5. Follow the prompts to complete installation.
3. If the reset was a push-button reset, reinstall Office using the standard Office reinstall process. When installation finishes, Office will be activated and missing apps such as Outlook, Access, or Publisher will be restored.
4. If Office apps are still missing on a new PC that included Office, open an Office app such as Word or Excel, then go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. After the update finishes, the missing app shortcuts can appear in the Start menu.
