Cloud Shell stuck in Getting Started wizard (needs backend profile reset)

My Azure Cloud Shell is stuck in the “Getting started” wizard and never shows the region selector. It always loads in ephemeral mode.

I’ve already tried all client-side fixes:

Reset User Settings

Switched between Bash and PowerShell

Signed out/in

Cleared browser sessions

Deleted Cloud Shell resource groups

Verified subscription and directory context

Tried clean browser sessions

The issue matches the known case where the Cloud Shell user profile becomes corrupted at the tenant backend.

Request: Please reset my Cloud Shell user profile at the tenant backend.

Hi Everett,

In Azure Cloud Shell, first please run below command:

az rest --method delete --url "https://management.azure.com/providers/Microsoft.Portal/usersettings/cloudconsole?api-version=2017-12-01-preview"

Next, click Settings -- Reset User Settings -- Reset, click Bash/PowerShell, select Mount storage account, select your subscription, Apply, select I want to create a storage account, click Next, select resource group, region, enter storage account name, enter file share, click Create.

Please reply back with your results, whether positive or negative.

Thanks.
