Try this license refresh path first:
- Sign out of all three places:
- Minecraft Launcher
- Microsoft Store
- the Microsoft account session on Windows if applicable
- Restart the PC.
- Sign back in using the same Microsoft account in this order:
- Microsoft Store first
- then Minecraft Launcher
- In Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft and check whether it shows Owned or Install.
- Make sure the launcher is opening the edition tied to the purchase you made.
If Bedrock works but Java does not, that usually means the launcher is not detecting the full license correctly.
If the purchase was redeemed or bought and still does not appear correctly after signing out, restarting, and signing back in, this is likely a license sync / entitlement issue that cannot be fixed from the public forum side. In that case, use Microsoft’s account and support entry points:
- Use the sign-in helper if there is any account access problem.
- Use Contact Support from Microsoft Support if the Store purchase is not attaching correctly to the account.
Also note: support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or directly change account details.
