    Hi there,

This can be confusing because Microsoft Authenticator does not always show a code on its main screen. During passkey setup, the code is usually generated on your laptop, and Authenticator should receive a sign-in request asking you to approve it.

Please open Authenticator and check whether a sign-in request appears. If nothing shows up, make sure notifications are enabled, your phone has a stable internet connection, and Authenticator is updated to the latest version.

If you are still being asked to sign in to Authenticator itself, try selecting “Other ways to sign in” on your laptop and use another available verification method. Once you regain access, you can register the Authenticator app again.

Thank you, and feel free to respond back for more assistance. I can also guide you through the passkey setup step by step.
