Windows is a multi-threaded operating system, because all processors these days have multiple cores and threads, Windows splits up large processes into smaller processes on the different processor cores, that is normal and that does not slow your PC down, it should actually make your PC faster, because a large app like a web browser is not using full cores on your processor.

Restart (not shut down) your PC to flush out your RAM.
Then when you are using Edge, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
Select the Processes tab, please provide a screenshot of that window.

How many tabs do you have open in Edge?
AI answer
Seeing many msedge.exe processes is normal because Edge uses multiple sub-processes for tabs, extensions, and other browser components. The slowdown is usually caused by one or more busy tabs, extensions, background apps, or high memory/CPU use.
Try these steps in order:
edge://extensions/.edge://settings/system/managePerformance.edge://settings/system.edge://gpu.edge://settings/system.edge://settings/reset.If Outlook is open in Edge, closing unused Outlook tabs can also help reduce memory use.
