Ghost additional email address when replying

When I reply to an email from one specific person (with a hotmail address), there is an additional recipient that does not show up on the CC or BCC that the email goes to. Not that I get a reply - as I get a delivery failure, telling me the person's mailbox is full.
Anybody got any ideas what is happening here?
