Hello,
Microsoft 365 business accounts usually use either your organization’s own custom domain (for example, ******@company.com) or the default Microsoft-provided - *.onmicrosoft.com domain (for example, ******@onmicrosoft.com). If you’d like to switch from a Business account to a Personal account, here’s what you need to do:
- Create a personal Microsoft account using this link: https://signup.live.com/ (open the link in a private browsing tab).
- Enter your email address and choose a personal domain, such as @hotmail.com or @outlook.com.
- Create a password for your personal account, then follow the prompts to complete the setup.
- During the account creation process, be sure to add a recovery email address. So, if you lose your password, you can use the recovery address to reset it.
Important -
Before using the personal account, make sure you back up all your business-related data to prevent data loss.
After the backup, you can cancel the Microsoft 365 Business subscription in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
You can then buy a Personal subscription through your Personal Microsoft account if required.
Then upload all your files to OneDrive if you need a cloud backup.
