I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra phone. Trying to activate the Company Portal (intune) and I get an error message about the password needing at least 4 digits. Mine has 8 digits and none of the numbers are in any kind of order or pattern.

IT says "don't know" and I can't get past this message, so no Outlook, no Teams, etc.

@Karen Fiddler ,Thanks for posting in Q&A.

We have a know issue recently that Android 11 work profile device or device administrator enrolled devices are failing compliance due to password policy enforcement change. The root cause is that a recent update to the Company Portal which is required due to Google's move to use API 30 made policy enforcement changes to our password authentication service which contained a code regression,

To clarify our issue, I would like to collect some information:

    1. Could you let us know which Android version it is? Is it Android 11?
    2. For the description about "activate the Company Portal (intune)", could you confirm if we are enrolling the device into Intune? Which enrollment method we use? Is it Android device administration or Personally owned work profile?

If there's anything unclear, feel free to let us know.
