Transfer Subscription

Purchased a new PC. Need to know how to transfer my 365 subscription to that PC

You normally do not need to transfer the Microsoft 365 subscription itself. The subscription is linked to your Microsoft account.

On the new PC:

• Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
• Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the Microsoft 365 subscription.
• Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and select the option to install the desktop apps.
• After installation, open Word or Excel and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate it.

1. Do you still have access to the old PC?
2. When you sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services, do you see your Microsoft 365 subscription listed there?
