    Hi Sandra,

    Excellent analysis, thanks.

I see that you mentioned the printer is a year old. Any one-year-old printer should not display this kind of defect. HP replaces these kinds of defects with a new printer if their findings are the same as well.

I would strongly recommend contacting HP first for the available options.

Thank you everyone, after a lot of trial and errors it all came down to the quality or lack of quality with this HP color printer

It's only about a year old and i stopped using it due to struggle to connection issues. Just purchased a new laptop . The issue was the full ink cartridges dried up... had 2 new ones in boxes, first one nothing second one printed like crap, so I cleaned the heads twice and BOOM a printed page... what is going on with these newer printers? I have a workhorse of a Brother, once I got everything setup BOOM A PERFECT PRINTOUT on the first try.

    Thank everyone.

    Hi,

The first step would be to try reinstalling the Printer.

Please click Start > Settings > Bluetooth and devices > Printers.

Locate your printer in the Printers section, Right-click it, and select Remove device.

    Restart your PC.

    User's image

If you have setup media for the Printer driver(This is usually a CD or Setup program supplied with the Printer), run the utility and let the Printer Install.

If you do not have setup media, try adding a printer manually using the "Add a printer" button in the menu bar. It should automatically detect and Install the Printer.

After the Printer Installs, try printing a test page to see if it works as desired.

    Retry the task again.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

Try these Windows troubleshooting steps in order:

    1. Run the printer troubleshooter.
      • On Windows 11, start the automated printer troubleshooter in the Get Help app.
      • It can automatically diagnose and fix many printer problems.
    2. Power cycle the printer.
      • Turn off the printer.
      • Unplug it for 30 seconds.
      • Plug it back in and turn it on.
    3. Remove and reinstall the printer.
      • Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
      • If the printer is listed, remove it and add it again.
      • If it is not listed, select Add a printer or scanner and add it.
      • Print a test page after reinstalling.
    4. Update or reinstall the printer driver.
      • Open Start > Device Manager.
      • Expand Printers.
      • Right-click the printer and select Update driver.
      • If that does not help, select Uninstall device, restart the PC, and let Windows reinstall the driver.
      • Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause blank-page printing.
    5. Clear and reset the print spooler.
      • Warning: this clears queued print jobs.
      • In the taskbar search box, type services and open Services.
      • On the Standards tab, double-click Print Spooler.
      • Select Stop > OK.
      • In the taskbar search box, enter %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers.
      • Open %WINDIR%\system32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in that folder.
      • Go back to Services, open Print Spooler again, select Start, set Startup Type to Automatic, and select OK.
    6. If the problem happens only from Word, Excel, or another app:
      • Close the app completely.
      • Restart the PC.
      • Open the app again and try printing.

If blank pages happen only in Excel, the worksheet itself can also be the cause. Blank pages may print when cells are formatted to appear blank, when errors are set to print as blank, when there are blank pages before data, or when drawing objects or hidden columns with manual page breaks affect the print area. A workaround is to print only the specific page range needed from File > Print.
