    Hello Kurt,

For a Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription, the first place to check is the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, provided you have billing or admin permissions.

    To turn off future charges:

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
    • Go to "Billing" -> "Your products".
    • Select the Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription.
    • Choose "Edit recurring billing".
    • Turn Recurring billing Off and save the change.

(Please kindly ask your IT Admin to do it for you)

Important: Turning off recurring billing does not immediately cancel the subscription. The subscription remains active until the end of the current paid term, but it will not renew automatically.

    • If you cannot find the subscription in the Admin Center:
    • Make sure you are signed in with the correct admin account.
    • Check whether the subscription was purchased through a Microsoft partner, reseller, Apple App Store, or Google Play, as cancellations must then be handled through the original provider

If you're stuck at any step, please let me know so I can review it again and support you as much as I can.

For a Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription, use the Microsoft 365 admin center if access is available:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. If using Simplified view, select Billing.
    3. If using Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
    4. Select the Business Basic subscription.
    5. Choose Edit recurring billing and turn it Off, then select Save.

    Important:

    • Turning off recurring billing does not cancel the subscription immediately. The subscription stays active until its expiration date.
    • If the goal is to stop future charges, this is the setting to check first.
    • If a charge was taken after cancellation, one documented reason is cancelling too close to the billing date. Cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date.

If help is needed from support:

    • Go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then select Contact Support if more help is needed.

If the subscription does not appear or cannot be managed:

    • Confirm the correct account is being used.
    • If the subscription was bought through a third-party retailer, Google Play, or Apple App Store, billing and cancellation must be handled with that provider.
