Unable to open Excel because of an issue that needs to be repaired. It is my computer or a system issue?

    If you haven't tried anything yet, first, restart the computer and try opening Excel again.

    If it still does not open, try starting Excel in Safe Mode:

    • Press Windows key + R
    • Type excel /safe
    • Press Enter

    If Excel opens in Safe Mode, an add-in may be causing the problem.

    You can also try repairing Microsoft 365:

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find Microsoft 365
    • Click the three dots > Modify
    • Run "Quick Repair"
