Hello,

I just want to provide a feedback about the disappointment that my computer cannot be upgraded to Windows 11.
Actually, I cannot upgrade it to Window 11 purely because my CPU is Intel 7th gen i7 6700HQ 2.60 Ghz (not listed in processor list for W11)

My computer is running really well (Win10 professional 64 bits, Intel Core i7, 16Gb RAM, 1To SSD, 4K UHD ...) and there is really no strong reason for me to buy a new laptop to get Windows 11.

We are many people in this case and we would like to continue to use recent Microsoft OS on our computer.

Can you solve this problem ?

Thank you very much

Patrice

Windows 11 can be clean installed on most computers.

Upgrades can be performed in a supported or unsupported fashion.

The unsupported fashion may included modifying the registry and files so that the Windows update agent does not detect the unsupported parameters.

There are many websites reporting the successful upgrades to windows 11 and Windows 11 clean installs on old computers.

These include desktops, laptops, and tablets.

    Hi AJMunzi-3216,

Windows 11 can be installed on most computers in a supported or unsupported fashion.

If the CPU is not on the supported list these are options:

    a) Backup important files > clean install Windows 11

    b) Modifying the registry of files so parameters are not detected by the Windows upgrade assistant
