Outlook is not sending emails for my Juno account. I have tried all the troubleshooting and nothing is working.

    Hi @Allen Probus

First please have a check with the AI answer

Once the usual Outlook troubleshooting has already been tried, please sign in to Juno Webmail and send a test message from there.

    • If the message also fails in Juno Webmail, the issue is with the Juno account or outgoing-mail service, so Juno Support would need to check it.
    • If the message sends successfully from Juno Webmail, compare Outlook’s outgoing server settings with Juno’s official configuration: smtp.juno.com, using the full Juno email address as the username and SSL enabled. Juno specifically recommends an SSL-secured connection when sending through another Internet provider or network.

If the settings already match, please share the exact error message or error code shown after selecting Send/Receive. That detail will help identify whether Outlook is rejecting the login or whether the Juno server is refusing the message.

    Thank you for your time

For a Juno account in classic Outlook, the most relevant fixes from the documented Outlook send/receive issues are:

    1. Check whether Outlook is offline.
      • In Outlook, look at the status bar at the bottom.
      • If it shows Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to connect…, go to Send/Receive and select Work Offline to switch back online.
      • Then try sending again.
    2. Confirm internet connectivity.
      • Open a browser and verify that websites load.
      • If the device is offline, Outlook cannot send mail.
    3. Check for a stuck message or oversized attachment.
      • Open the Outbox.
      • Start with the oldest message.
      • If it includes a large attachment, remove it and try again. Some providers block large messages, and Outlook guidance specifically calls out attachments larger than 20 MB as a common cause in classic Outlook.
    4. If the Juno password was changed recently, update the password in Outlook.
      • Outlook can fail to send if the stored password is no longer current.
    5. For POP3 or IMAP accounts showing authentication-related send failures, enable authentication before sending.
      • The documented 0x800CCC80 cause is that the account is not configured to sign in to the incoming server before sending mail, while the provider requires SMTP authentication first.
      • Use Outlook to repair the email account or enable Log on to incoming server before sending mail for the account.
    6. Start Outlook in safe mode.
      • Press the Windows key, type outlook.exe /safe, and press Enter.
      • If sending works in safe mode, an add-in or profile issue is likely involved.
    7. Repair Outlook or the Outlook profile.
      • Repair the Outlook program.
      • If that does not help, repair the Outlook profile or create a new one.
    8. If none of the above works, run the classic Outlook troubleshooters or contact support.
      • Microsoft specifically recommends starting with the Classic Outlook troubleshooters page for send/receive issues.
