I have accidently typed in a wrong email address and now it continues to come up in my "To" suggestion drop down. It is not in the contact's information. How do I delete it from the suggestion drop down?

When I do a New Mail, in the send "To" bar. I can't find it anywhere else. It's not in the contact's information. I'm using the desktop app.

    Thanks, that helps.

That sounds like an AutoComplete suggestion rather than an address saved in the contact. Outlook can remember addresses that were typed or used previously.

If you haven't tried anything yet, please try this:

    • Open "New Mail."
    • Start typing the name or incorrect email address in the "To" field.
    • When the wrong address appears, hover over it.
    • If an "X" appears beside it, click the "X" to remove it. You can also try highlighting the suggestion and pressing Delete.

Are you using New Outlook or Classic Outlook? The next steps are different if the suggestion does not give you the option to remove it.

    Thanks!
