How can I increase the maximum to more than 25 saved entries?

AFAIK, Windows does not provide a native setting or registry tweak to increase the built-in clipboard history limit beyond its hardcoded maximum of 25 items. If you need to store more than 25 items, you can use a third-party clipboard manager.

Alternative solutions include using a third-party manager such as Ditto or CopyQ. Clipboard history features in tools such as PowerToys, if available, or applications from the Microsoft Store can also provide the ability to retain hundreds of clipped items.

If you only need certain items to remain available permanently, press Windows Key + V and click the pin icon on individual entries. Pinned items remain in your clipboard history even after you restart your computer or exceed the 25-item limit.

The Windows clipboard history limit cannot be increased beyond 25 saved entries. Clipboard history is limited to 25 copied entries, and older items are removed automatically unless they are pinned.

To keep important items available longer, pin them in clipboard history:

• Press Windows logo key + V to open clipboard history.
• Pin the items that need to stay available.

Also note:

• Older unpinned items are removed automatically when new items are added.
• Individual clipboard items must be 4 MB or smaller.
