I was charged twice for Microsoft Windows. How can I get a refund for the second charge?

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

To request or get a refund, kindly follow the steps below:

    Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Look for the Microsoft 365 subscription you have.

Click Manage > select Cancel, then follow the prompts to refund the subscription.

To check whether this was a true duplicate charge and request a refund:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account and review your order history for multiple purchases of the same amount that appear close together: Review your order history.
    2. If the duplicate charge does not appear in that order history, go to Payment options and select Investigate to look for other Microsoft accounts using the same card: Go to payment options.
    3. Common reasons charges can look duplicated include:
      • a previously declined payment being charged again
      • a subscription with recurring billing enabled
      • multiple accounts using the same payment method
      • separate charges for items in the same order
    4. If this was a Microsoft subscription, refund eligibility depends on country and subscription length. Prorated refunds may be available in some countries.
    5. If the charge is confirmed as a duplicate or still cannot be explained, contact Microsoft Support: Contact Microsoft Support.

If the charge is unfamiliar and there is any chance the payment method was compromised, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent more charges.
