windows it is not Activate

Question

I had reset my laptop was so slow so I thought it best to start fresh. Once I had reinstalled I noticed windows hadn't activated and l dont want to get a other laptop because this one is working fine

After a reset, Windows often needs to be reactivated using the original product key or the digital license linked to the device.

1. Check activation status:
   • In Windows 11, go to Start > Settings > System > Activation.
   • Confirm whether Windows shows as activated and whether the license is linked to a Microsoft account.
2. If Windows is not activated, try entering the product key:
   • Go to Start > Settings > System > Activation > Change product key.
   • Enter the 25-character product key if one is available.
3. If the laptop originally came with Windows and hardware was not changed, activation may return automatically. If the motherboard was replaced by the manufacturer, the PC should usually reactivate automatically. If not, use the product key from the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) if the device has one.
4. If the reset involved reinstalling Windows, the installed edition must match the license. For example, if the device is licensed for Windows 11 Home, Windows 11 Pro will not activate. Check the edition in Settings > System > Activation.
5. If Windows still does not activate, use the Activation troubleshooter:
   • Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
   • This requires an internet connection.
   • The troubleshooter is available only when Windows is not activated.
6. If a significant hardware change was made, such as replacing the motherboard, Windows may no longer find the license. In that case, reactivation may require the product key or the hardware-change reactivation path.

If the laptop was working and only a reset was done, the most important checks are the installed edition and the Activation page in Settings.
