Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the sign-in now says the account does not exist, use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper first. That is the official path for cases where the username is no longer recognized or the account may have been changed.
If the account was compromised:
- Start the hacked account recovery flow: Start
- If the sign-in name is reported as not found, use the Sign-in Helper: Start
- If access is restored, immediately:
- run a full malware scan on the PC from Windows Security → Virus and threat protection → Scan options → Full scan → Scan now
- change or reset the password
- review connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies
- If the Gmail address was only removed as a sign-in alias and access is regained, aliases can be managed from Edit account info.
Important supported limits:
- Microsoft support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or change account details.
- If the account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.
- A Gmail address cannot be used to sign in with Google credentials, but it can be added as a way to prove identity.
The screenshot showing a Microsoft verification email helps show that the Gmail address was involved, but the official recovery path remains the automated recovery and sign-in helper tools.
