    Hi Bonnie,

Good day. Check first if Windows is detecting the camera at all. The camera showing "PC Camera Connected" may mean it's connecting in webcam mode rather than file-transfer mode.

    Try to do these steps:

    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the camera.
    2. Turn the camera on, then reconnect the USB cable.
    3. Watch for a message or menu on the camera asking what USB mode to use. If you see USB Storage, Mass Storage, File Transfer, or MTP, select that instead of PC Camera/Webcam.
    4. On your laptop, press Windows + E to open File Explorer and select This PC. Check under Devices and drives for the camera or its memory card.
    5. If it's not there, try a different USB port and, if possible, the original camera USB cable. Some USB-C cables are designed mainly for charging and don't support data transfer.

If the camera only offers PC Camera and no storage/file-transfer option, the camera model matters because some cameras require a specific USB setting or their own software to transfer photos.

    Regards,
    Jhun

    Try these checks in order:

    1. If this is an iPhone, unlock it and look for a prompt on the phone to Trust This Computer or Allow, then approve it.
    2. If the photos are stored only in iCloud and not on the device, import them by using iCloud for Windows instead of USB.
    3. Try a different USB cable. Some USB cables can charge a device but cannot transfer files.
    4. If the laptop has more than one USB port, try a different port.
    5. In Windows 11, open Settings in Search, then go to Bluetooth & devices > Cameras and check whether the camera appears under Connected cameras.
    6. If it appears there, select the camera and use Troubleshoot to open the interactive camera troubleshooter in Get Help.
    7. If it does not appear, run the automated troubleshooter directly in Get Help.
    8. If the device still is not accessible, the most reliable workaround is to transfer the photos with an SD card reader, if the camera uses an SD card.

If the issue is specifically with importing photos to Windows, Windows also notes that USB connection problems can prevent photo transfer.
