Sorry to hear about the problems with the dock, Stephen Ryan.
Since you have already tried the suggested fixes and really just want to speak with someone who can help, it's reasonable to move on to warranty/service. The Surface USB4 Dock usually has a one-year limited warranty, so here's your options:
1 - Reach out to Microsoft Support for service guidance
- Visit Contact Us - Microsoft Support > Sign in
- Enter / choose an issue > Get Help to make request
- Scroll down > click Contact Support to connect to an agent
- Select a category > continue and you should reach the chat option.
- If you don't see it, go through another category (e.g. Billings and payments...)
Note: The support contact team only works at certain times, so if the last window shows that it's unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. This way, they can call you and help you.
2 - Request repair/replacement since you're likely still under warranty
- Sign in at account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair
- If your USB4 Dock isn't registered yet, select Register device.
- If the device is already registered, choose it and click Next.
- Follow the instructions to complete your service order.
- However, if your dock cannot be registered or found:
- Visit Surface and Microsoft Accessory Warranty Exchange Request
- Sign into your Microsoft account, and fill out the request form.
- Continue through the service request and describe the problem with your dock.
As Microsoft Q&A is a public community forum, we cannot access your purchase, warranty, or arrange a replacement from here. Consider having your proof of purchase and the dock's serial number available when requesting service. I hope you can get the dock inspected or replaced soon.
