    Hi,

I will walk through a few steps with you. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

May I know if you have verified if the Internet is working properly on a web browser?

Who is the email service provider of the account?

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

    Try these checks in order:

    1. In Outlook, look at the status bar at the bottom.
      • If it shows Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to connect..., Outlook is not reaching the mail server.
      • Go to Send/Receive and select Work Offline to switch back online, then try Send/Receive again.
    2. If the Hotmail/Outlook.com password was changed recently, update it in Outlook.
      • Select the email account name.
      • When prompted, select Continue.
      • Sign in with the new password.
    3. If Outlook asks for an app password, get a new app password from the email provider and paste it into Outlook when prompted.
    4. If this is Outlook.com/Hotmail in the web service as well, check whether the mailbox or cloud storage is full. If Microsoft cloud storage is full, mail cannot be sent or received.
    5. If mail is missing only on Outlook.com, check for filtering issues:
      • Other tab
      • Junk Email folder and settings
      • Forwarding
      • Rules
      • Sort order with Filter > Sort > Date
    6. If the problem started suddenly and affects multiple devices, it can be a service-side issue. In that case, wait and try again later.
