My Windows 11 Pro was activated when I bought my laptop. I only reset Windows, no hardware was replaced or changed. the activation troubleshooter failed.

    Hi, @Dezirae Crespin

Please go to Settings > System > Activation and let me know the exact activation error code or message.

Also press Windows key + R, type: slmgr /dlv and press Enter.

From the window that appears, please tell me only: Description, Product Key Channel, if shown, and License Status

Also confirm whether Settings > System > About shows Windows 11 Pro, and whether Windows 11 Pro originally came with the laptop or was upgraded from Home.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

If no hardware was changed and Windows 11 Pro was already activated on that laptop, the next supported checks are:

    1. Verify activation status in Start > Settings > System > Activation.
    2. If Windows is not activated, run the Activation troubleshooter from Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
      • The troubleshooter is available only when Windows is not activated.
      • An internet connection is required.
      • Administrator sign-in is required.
    3. If the reset did not complete correctly, use Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems using Windows Update > Reinstall now. This can repair OS errors that may prevent activation.
    4. If the device originally came with Windows 11 Pro installed, it should reactivate after reset. If it still does not, enter the product key from Start > Settings > System > Activation > Change product key if a key is available.
    5. If activation still fails after that, contact support.

Also confirm that the installed edition is Windows 11 Pro. If the installed edition does not match the license, Windows will not activate.
