I received an email from Microsoft to register for their courses. It asks to use office email for registering. However, when I create my account, it doesn't work. I posted the image with error.

    Hello Naveen Kumar Devarpalli,

The screenshot shows a personal Microsoft account sign-up page, but the invitation asks you to use your work email. Which course or registration site does the invitation take you to? Please share its name, but not the private invitation link.

If it takes you to Microsoft Learn, try Sign in with your existing work account rather than creating a new personal account with that address. Microsoft Learn supports work or school sign-in. If the invitation takes you somewhere else, the site name will help us check which account it requires.

The error indicates a personal Microsoft account is being created with a work or school email address. That is blocked when the email domain is configured in Microsoft Entra ID.

Use one of these supported paths:

    1. If the course site supports work or school accounts, select Sign in instead of creating a new account.
    2. If a personal Microsoft account is required, use a personal email address instead of the company email address.
    3. If there is already both a personal Microsoft account and a work/school account with the same email address, they cannot be merged. They can only be used side by side.
    4. If sign-in still fails, use the Microsoft Sign-in helper or Contact Support options.

    Relevant details from Microsoft guidance:

    • New personal Microsoft accounts cannot be created using work or school email addresses when that domain is configured in Microsoft Entra ID.
    • Some Microsoft apps support both personal and work/school accounts. In those cases, the correct action is to sign in with the existing work or school account rather than create a new personal account.
    • Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged.
