If you are sure that you never purchased anything with your Microsoft account - all of them, if you have more than one - and you verified this by checking the purchase history in each of your accounts, seeing nothing there, and yet your credit or debit card was charged $548 for a Microsoft product, then I'm afraid to say that your suspicions are likely true: Someone unknown to you has stolen your payment card information, and used it to buy something from Microsoft.

In this case, you have to contact your card issuer and deal with them directly. Tell them someone stole your information and made an authorized purchase. Do it now, before the thief uses your card to buy something else.

    Hello GARY WESTBROOK

To help clarify this issue, could you please double-check the information below?

    • Could you check the billing details again and see whether there is any reference to a Microsoft product associated with this charge?
    • Have you checked all of your email accounts for any confirmation email related to the purchase of a Microsoft product corresponding to this charge?
    • Could you confirm what type of account you are using? Is it a personal account (such as @outlook.com or @hotmail.com), or a work/school account provided by an organization with a custom domain?
    • Finally, could you confirm where you checked the transaction history (for example, in your Microsoft account, bank statement, credit card statement, or elsewhere)?

I genuinely hope you can verify whether this charge is actually related to a Microsoft product and determine if there may have been any misunderstanding regarding the transaction for you.

Besides, if you still cannot determine the source of the charge after checking all the details, you may want to contact your bank to see if they can provide any additional information about the transaction..

    Wish you all the best!
