    Dear Larry Rogers,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re currently unable to access your email accounts. If Microsoft 365 is indicating that a payment is required, this may be related to an outstanding balance on the subscription.

If you are the Microsoft 365 administrator, please sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center and check Billing > Bills & payments. Open the relevant invoice and check whether there is an outstanding balance. If available, select Pay your balance or Pay now, then follow the prompts to complete the payment using your preferred available payment method.

You can refer to this article Pay your Microsoft business invoice by using a credit or debit card for detailed guidance.

If you do not see an outstanding balance, please let me know what status is displayed for your Microsoft 365 subscription and the exact message you receive when attempting to access your email.

Thank you for your time and patience.

If this is a Microsoft 365 business subscription with a past-due balance, payment can be made in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. If using Simplified view, select Subscriptions > View invoices.
    3. If using Dashboard view, go to Billing > Bills & payments.
    4. Select the invoice to open its details.
    5. If the payment method was declined, a warning appears. Select Pay your balance.
    6. Select Next.
    7. Choose one of these options, then select Next:
      • Try the same payment method again
      • Use another payment method
      • Add a new payment method
    8. Follow the prompts, then select Review and pay balance.
    9. After updating the payment information, select Save.

    Important details:

    • If the payment method on file could not be charged, Microsoft sends an email explaining there is a problem and includes a link to check the outstanding balance.
    • If the subscription uses an MCA billing account type and the payment method is declined, the Pay now button can be used on the invoice summary in the admin center for a one-time payment.
    • If the subscription uses a MOSA billing account type, Pay your balance can be used. The payment method used for the overdue amount becomes the new payment method for all subscriptions that used the declined payment method.
    • If the person making the payment did not originally add the payment method for the subscription, the payment method must be replaced with one that was previously added or with a new one.

If invoice access is blocked, only users with Billing Administrator permissions in the Microsoft 365 admin center can view or download invoices and complete payment.
