To delete location activity associated with a Microsoft account:

1. Go to the Microsoft privacy dashboard and sign in.
2. Select My activity.
3. Under Filter by data type, select Locations.
4. Select Clear activity.

For Windows location data stored locally on the device:

• In Windows, go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Location.
• If Location history is available on the device, select Clear.

For cloud-stored location history associated with the Microsoft account, Windows also supports clearing it from the account page by selecting Clear location activity, then Clear.

Note: local storage of location history and its related settings were removed in March 2025. If signed in with a Microsoft account and Location services is enabled, location may still be periodically saved in the cloud.

On that web page, you will find all data stored on your account, including your account Location History and can delete it from there.
