I’m sorry you’re going through this issue with your account. In this case, Microsoft support agents are not able to make changes to account information, such as adding or removing details, because those protections are in place to help keep your account private and secure. I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and I truly appreciate your patience.

The best next step is to complete the account form here; it is not the same as the recovery one: https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount

Once you submit it, your request will be reviewed by the team that handles account recovery situations like this. They will reach out to you by email with the next steps or let you know if they need any additional information to continue helping you.

    Use this recovery path:

    1. Start with the Microsoft hacked-account recovery flow and the sign-in helper tool. It asks for the account email address or phone number and then shows the available self-help options or the option to talk to an agent.
    2. Before changing the password, run a full malware scan on the PC from Windows Security:
      • Open Windows Security
      • Open Virus and threat protection
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
    3. After the scan, if sign-in is still possible anywhere, change the password immediately. If sign-in is not possible, use the password reset path from the sign-in flow.
    4. If an unusual sign-in alert was received and access is still possible, go to Security basics and review Recent activity. For activity that was not recognized, select This wasn't me or Secure your account.
    5. After access is restored, check account settings that are commonly changed during compromise: connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.

    Important limits:

    • Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.
    • If the Outlook.com account is temporarily blocked because of unusual sign-in activity, use the Sign-in Helper to unblock it.
    • If the normal unblock or reset flow fails, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper/contact support path shown in the support articles.
