Can't authenticate log in using Authenticator app

Question

I was recently out of the country and tried to login to my student email, which it didn’t recognise my location and asked to verify. I had recently deleted the Microsoft Authenticator app as I hadn’t used it much and needed storage space on my phone. In order to verify my student email login I needed to use the Authenticator app, but because I was signed out of the Authenticator app it needed me to login there also. when trying to login to the Authenticator app it asked me to use the Authenticator app to verify my login which is obviously impossible if I’m logged out of the app.

after installing the Authenticator app again you should restore the account credentials: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/back-up-and-recover-account-credentials-in-the-authenticator-app-bb939936-7a8d-4e88-bc43-49bc1a700a40
