Azure VM Insights with CloudLinux

I am using a VM in Azure for which the operating system has been migrated to CloudLinux 9. I would like to use VM Insights, but it seems as though that OS is not supported: https://docs.azure.cn/en-us/azure-monitor/agents/azure-monitor-agent-supported-operating-systems

Are there any plans to add support for it?

Do you know why CL9 isn't supported? AlmaLinux, which CL is based on, is supported. What, specifically, is different about CL9 that makes it unsuppoted?

    Hi Paul,

CloudLinux 9 is not currently listed as a supported operating system for Azure Monitor Agent (AMA), which VM Insights requires. Microsoft’s supported OS list includes RHEL 9, AlmaLinux 9, Rocky Linux 9 and other distributions, but not CloudLinux 9.

You may be able to install AMA on CloudLinux because AMA can run on systems outside the tested list, but Microsoft states that distributions not on the supported list are not tested or officially supported.

So for a supported VM Insights deployment, CloudLinux 9 would currently need to be replaced with a supported Linux distribution. The supported-OS list is the place to check for any future addition of CloudLinux.
