Intel Core i5-7400 is listed as Supported Intel Processor, but PC Health Check said it's not compatible. Is there a particular version of the i5-7400 I must have?

These are the supported Intel CPU:

    i5-7400 was not seen.

There are 4 more years of full support for Windows 10.

If you want to install Windows 11 in an unsupported fashion it can be performed by:
    a) modifying the registry and files so that the Windows upgrade assistant does not detect the unsupported parameters
    b) performing a Windows 11 clean install

The Microsoft upgrade parameters in supported mode were designed to improve performance and security.

Installations in the unsupported mode may not benefit from the improved performance and security.
And there could be problems related to Windows updates and Microsoft Defender updates.

Multiple websites have reported successful upgrades with very old hardware.
These included desktops, laptops, and tablets.
There were also no reported problems with automatic updates.

So each end user must gauge their risks and benefits.

    Hi @Charles J ,

Some of the 7th generation processor and all 8th generation Intel processor are supported for Windows 11. It seems your Intel i5-7400 is not in the list and it might not support the Windows 11.
