Please make sure you cancel from the account you don't need the subscription first.

    Please go to https://account.live.com

Sign in to your Microsoft account. Then go to Services. Click on Manage for the subscription plan you want to cancel.

Then contact support to request a refund.

Go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

Yes—if the extra renewal was purchased on the other Microsoft account, the correct path is:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions with the Microsoft account that was charged for the extra renewal: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Find that subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
    4. During cancellation, refund eligibility is determined automatically.

    Important details:

    • Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if the subscription is canceled within 30 days after payment. This right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
    • If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire and there will be no further automatic charge.

Since the payment was made on the wrong Microsoft account, it is also worth checking Manage your payments and selecting Investigate if the charge needs to be confirmed against both accounts.

If the subscription was purchased through a third-party retailer such as Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or Best Buy, the refund and cancellation must be handled by that retailer, not Microsoft.
