I own Windows 10 Pro now and wish to know if it will automaticaaly update to Windows 11 Pro or will I have to purchase another Pro version?
You no need to purchase a new license , the windows 10 pro license will be automatically activated to windows 11 pro too

You don't need an activation key to upgrade to version 11 Settings > Update & Security > Check for updates., and if you don't need any keys, contact partners microsofts like hype-stkey

No worries if you have Windows 10 Pro then it will update to Windows 11 Pro only. No matter how you update (Tool or clean install ) , the Windows will always be the Pro version

As of Wed Nov-24-2021 4:28 ET, I can confirm this:
If you have a Laptop which came Pre-Installed with Window 10-PRO
The Microsoft Windows (automatic FREE) Update will DEFINITELY
Install Windows 11-PRO.
No worries at all.
It took about half an hour or less to complete the Install & Restart.
This update was on a DELL XPS 15 9500. It was purchased, Pre-Installed with Win-10-PRO.
It now shows in (System | Activation [Windows 11 Pro]).
I am pleased with the results.

Hi, I have upgrade from my Windows 10 Pro to Win 11 Pro but it's showing Evaluation Copy. Just wanted to let you know that I earlier installed it via Insider Program today and then after seeing this I have reset my complete laptop and install it but still showing the same. Any suggestions ?

Hi, I also have a windows 10 pro with a digital license.
When I upgrade it to windows 11 will it use the license and activate automatically?

Windows 7 and 8 cannot upgrade to Windows 11 without an upgrade to Windows 10 first.
Properly licensed and activated Windows 10 should be able to upgrade to Windows 11 as long as the upgrade agent finds supported parameters.
Most computers can clean install Windows 11. These can be on computers that had either supported or unsupported findings.
There should be no cost when upgrading or clean installing with the same Windows edition (home versus pro, etc.)

The Question is 10 pro to 11 pro not just 11.

I have Windows 10 Pro and have not found ANY answers on the internet so I'm curious as well and some of these answers are dodgy at best.
